Hollywwod to San Pedro

We will be staying in Hollywood on August 12 thru the 14 than head to San Pedro on August 14. HEre are my questions, and hope can help.

 

1. What I would like to know is how far is from Hollywood to Sand Pedro

2. What will kind of route should we take or what is the best?

The hotel we plan to stay in San Pedro is Crown Plaza. :)

I'm going to make a suggestion and I'm sure others will agree or disagree and have their own thoughts.

 

I'm going on the idea that you're not going to be rushing to the hotel in San Pedro. Here's what I would do: Go on Sunset Blvd heading west. It's a scenic route (not the direct route which would truly be unscenic and go through some dicey areas) and you'll be going past the clubs, past UCLA, and headed to the beach. Since it'll be August and a Saturday, the beach areas will be crowded, but you can turn left on Bundy Drive and drive to Colorado Blvd and turn right til you get to the Third Street Promenade (park in one of the city parking lots). Have dinner there in one of the restaurants. Afterwards take the 10 freeway east to the 405 south to the 110 south to San Pedro.
