According to that link, you can request "Indian Meals" but you have to do it before your sail date and it is considered "special needs"

I am sailing on Spirit May 11 and am bummed there is no tandoor on the Lido deck.

I am not Indian (but I am so ethnic looking sometimes people think I am everything from Indian to Iranian and lots of other guesses in between! :D - LOL! I come from Russian/German/ Jewish ancestry) ... Anyway, I LOVE Indian food. Can anyone request this - and if you do, can it just be for 1 meal?

They wouldn't let me add to my above post

One more question ...

On the link with the menus and pics, there was a lot of beef! I thought someone said they no longer serve filet mignon in the MDR? (Are these the most current menus?) ... I have reservations for the Steak House - I am now seriously reconsidering. Should I keep my reservation? It will just be me (sailing solo), so I am not going for the ambiance. I am going for the food. It seems they pretty much have the same menu in the MDR (I mean, I seriously doubt I was going to order the porterhouse steak anyway.)

I saw a link to all seven days of the menu in the MDR and can't find it again. I have searched both here and on google to no avail. could someone post that again. Thanks

Is this fleetwide or on just one ship?

Doing single digit dance! :D 8 more days.

you only get 20 minutes to edit the post and must use the edit button to do so- after 20 minutes the button disappears.

The menu above by Zdec-- is the menu that is now fleetwide. What yousee is what you will get

Was on the Dream for 9 day eastern carribbean in December and one night they had a dessert they billed as strawberry shortcake...not like the traditional but had strawberry coulis, shortbread cookies, strawberries and the most delicious sweetened mascarpone deliciousness (did i mention yummmmm!). Does not appear to be part of their regular fare but was so wonderful i wish it would be!

From the bookccl website (a TA tool), today:

  • Q-Term Users: To indicate the guest is requesting Indian meals, the guest comment code “4” must be added to the Passenger Code field while making a new reservation or in IRBCU (when servicing an existing reservation).
  • LaunchPad Users: To indicate the guest is requesting Indian meals, you will need to click on the Special Needs box in Guest List and select #4 Indian Meals for all guests requesting the meals.
  • There are no selections for breakfast-type foods.
  • The Indian meals will only be served in the Main Dining Room during lunch and dinner.
  • The meals cannot be requested through any e-channels.

The menus on the Zydeco site are for longer European sailings. These may not be the same as the standard 7 days cruises. I've noticed changes on the shorter cruises also. Use these as a general idea, but don't be surprised (or disappointed) if what you see isn't what you get.

They are for a number of different sailing lengths/ships - e.g. there is a 4 day Sensation set.

At the bottom of the menus is a code for the particular menu + a date the menu was released. 7 day dinner menus are typically D71A/B through D77A/B and Dessert menus are DExx.

But any given ship can switch them around and/or substitute depending on what ingredients are available and the phase of the moon.

That is usually only on 9 day or longer cruises.

This is what it says:

Carnival Dream 7 Day Main Dining Room Dinner Menus and Food Porn

My educated guestimation. Individual ships and cruises can change the order, substitute items, substitute other menus, and/or make a new one up

These are menus 1-7, but they do go at least to 16.

For menus from an actual 12 day Carnival Dream sailing see

here

For menus from an actual 16 day Carnival Dream sailing, see

here

Note: All Carnival ships use standard menus (aka THESE), but they may update/roll out at different times

Standard 7 day menus looked pretty darn GOOD!!

He also posted a 7 day menu- these are the exact menus we had on our March 7th onboard the Freedom.

Since we ate most dinners at the buffet (a first for us on Carnival) We were very pleased that most of the dining room menu is offered at the buffet too.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've been on 2 Thanksgiving week cruises on Carnival so far, and both times the menu on Thanksgiving night has been altered a bit. Unfortunately, both times, the items I wanted had been deleted and replaced with something else.

So how do the menus work for the 6 night Freedom? The 'elegant' nights typically have a better menu but the Freedom's elegant nights are #3 and #5 not the usual #2 and #6 for the 7 night cruises.
