Alaska ballot measure to raise taxes

FYI, the cruise industry is suing the State of Alaska to try to stop a proposed ballot measure that would raise taxes on cruise ship passengers. Here's a link to a story about it:

$50 pp !! :eek: Thats an awful lot of revenue being raised given the # of mega ships cruising Alaska right now!! And considering what one spends to go to Alaska. It is literally twice as high to cruise to Alaska compared to the Caribbean...and the excursions....well lets not even go there!!! :mad:
