sherrintxs Posted January 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2005 We will be in Cozumel from 9am-10pm and we are for sure going to Paradise Beach, so I am sure we will eat lunch there. Where would you go with an 8 yr old for dinner? Is Carlos' N Charlie's too over the top for a child? TIA
zydecocruiser Posted January 26, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2005 I would say so. But Camp Carnival would be an option for an 8 year old if the adults wanted to get wild after Paradise Beach.
karlanee Posted January 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2005 We ate at Pancho's Backyard at Puerta Maya last week. We had a leisurely lunch - I love that they let you take your time to eat in Mexico! They have a little patio area right at the water's edge, with a sandy area and hammocks and lounge chairs under palm trees. We laid in the hammocks while the girls played in the sand. You are right there where you see the ships docked and the activity of the pier. There is also Panchos' Backyard downtown - and they have a lush garden patio area to eat in. CozSally is always mentioning a little place called Sabores - with more traditional food. I really wanted to eat there, but was worried that my husband's sensitive "system" wouldn't be able to handle more local food, so we stuck with the more familiar touristy stuff. CozSally Posted January 26, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2005 Karlanee has a good suggestion with Pancho's at the pier. Sabores is only open for lunch.
sherrintxs Posted January 26, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted January 26, 2005 We did eat at the Pancho's you are talking about in August 2004. Son got a kick out of it because of the men playing there, he liked giving them a tip over and over. My dh liked it because of the BIG beer cup they gave you. I keep hearing about Carlos' N Charlie's and how fun it is, I am just scared it is not for an 8 yr old. I thought to myself we would probably wind back up at Pancho's there by the pier since it so convenient. Thank you!
serene56 Posted January 26, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2005 I would not a child to Carlos N Charlies. It is not something that a child of 8 should be viewing--especailly at the dinner hour. Maybe lunch wouldnt be as wild as later in the day.
