What to do other than cave tubing?

What would you recommend to do in Belize other than cave tubing? We are planning on doing snorkeling in Cozumel and ruins in Costa Maya.

We went snorkeling with Coral Breeze and stopped at Caye Caulker for lunch. We really liked Caye Caulker. I would love to go back on the water taxi (DIY - $15 round trip) and just wander around there for the day. Really low key, laid back island.

We just are back from Independence of the Seas and did the Rain forest ATV. We have done cave tubing before and wanted something different. This was a great excursion. None of us have ever driven an ATV before and it was no problem. You just make it go using your thumb on the handle and make it stop with a hand break, much like a bike. We toured a cave then had an opportunity to swim in a river and have a snack. It was a great way to spend the day. It was a " would do again" for us.

ATVing sounds fun. We're Southerners, so we definitely know what we're doing with an ATV.

 

I heard the water level in the cave tubing was low this time of year, so that's why we're second guessing that excursion.

Check out coral breeze "Captain your own" boat tour. You take a small outboard boat up the wallace river after going through some Mangrove tunnels. Lots of wildlife, no crowds, no long walk, very small group. It leaves right from the dock where the tenders drop you off, lasts about 4 hours.

Can I ask what company you booked this tour with, and how much it was? We are going in May and would like to do just the ATV but it seems most companies are only offering a combo atv/cave tubing.

We actually did this through RCCL. The cost was $89 per person. I didn't notice the name of the company. It really was a lot of fun though.

Anyone know if they have ATV rentals not included in a tour? We did this is Cozumel and St. Maarten and loved it!
