Marriott hotels in San Juan

I have stayed at the Marriott Stellaris pre and post cruise but am wondering if anyone has stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott? it is a little less expensive and this will be my first time going without my husband. We had booked the cruise while on our last one in Sept. 09. I am having a little anxiety over the whole thing even though I am taking my 31 year old daughter with me. I made the flight reservations since the rates are pretty low right now. Now I am just looking at the other possibilities for hotels. I love the Stellaris and the location is great, perhaps it isn't worth saving the little it would save.

We are leaving this Saturday for Puerto Rico, staying Sat night at the Marriott Stellars. I got it on Priceline for $110.00 per night.

I put in I wanted to stay in the Condado area, and wanted a resort. I put in $100.00 first, did not get, then put $110.00 got it! Normal rates are over $300.00 so you might want to try that.

Good luck,

Montie

the courtyard marriott has a better beach, it is located in isla verde. iif you want dance club nightlife there is El San Juan Hotel close by, the Ritz Carlton casino is next door but the courtyard does have it-s own as well. there are also restaurants nearby as well. this marriott is more beach oriented than the stellaris.

there is a free trolley in Isla Verde also that runs thru Isla Verde area as well.

Are you talking about Courtyard Isle Verde? We stayed there last year and it was great...the beach is nice, pool area wonderful, great views from the room, and excellent service. You can watch the planes take off from the beach, that's pretty neat. If we ever go back to San Juan, we'll stay there again.

How did you put in your Priceline bid that you wanted the Condado area? I looked at the website and I do not see that option. I only see Resorts option and San Juan. Thanks.
