Mullet Bay - Cupecoy

Quick question about Cupecoy bay. I planned on going to Mullet Bay, and see from a map that Cupecoy is very nearby. Is a person able to walk between the two? If not, are taxis fairly available, or should I arrange in advance?

Thanks!!

It totally depends on which section of Cupecoy you're planning to visit.

Cupecoy is a LONG beach.

From Mullet to the beginning of Cupecoy, at Cliffhangers, for example, is maybe a 10 minutes walk.

To get to the far end of Cupecoy is probably another 20 minute walk.

Unless you take a cab and make arrangements to be picked up, I think that you'd have to walk back out to somewhere like Ocean Club or Sapphire and ask them to call for a cab for your return trip.

What 'specific' information are you looking for?

Cupecoy is a very long beach, stretching from Mullet Bay Beach to Long Baie. It is known for the many private and not-so-private coves that are carved into the sandstone cliffs along much of the length of the beach.

Parts of the beach are well known as clothing-optional or gay-friendly areas.

This beach may be the most 'tempermental' beach on the island, as the sand comes and goes very quickly in a reaction to the local weather, winds and tides.

Check the Resort Consultants page for some (old) pictures.

Shows the expanse of Cupecoy. It extends farther to the left, and all the way to the right edge of the photo.

This picture from the above linked site shows the relative location of Mullet and Cupecoy, with the ruins of the hurricane-hit Mullet Bay Beach Club center separating the two beaches.
