barbie5401 Posted April 8, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 8, 2010 so the Jewel cruise, you don't get to experience being in the Panama Canal is that correct?
Debde Posted April 8, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 8, 2010 so the Jewel cruise, you don't get to experience being in the Panama Canal is that correct? I believe it's called the 'Ultimate Caribbean' cruise and no it does not do a partial anymore. I've said this often-please RCCL-brig back the partial. I've been looking into Princess as they still do a partial.
nancronin Posted April 8, 2010 #9 Share Posted April 8, 2010 so the Jewel cruise, you don't get to experience being in the Panama Canal is that correct? That's right - we'll take an excursion to see the canal but we will not go through the canal. :D
BillB48 Posted April 8, 2010 #10 Share Posted April 8, 2010 I too wish they would bring back the partial transits, until they do, you can still experience a good portion of the Canal by taking the "Canal by Ferry" (or something similarly named). This tour will take you through the Pacific Locks and Gaillard Cut. This part of the Canal has more to offer visually and you get to see some of the countryside to and from the ferry.
