cruzadict Posted April 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2010 We have just booked the 28th May 4 night voyage. We have not done these ports before and was wondering if anyone knew whether we will need to tender at any. Also is Rotterdam within walking distance of the port and as we are there on a Sunday will there be anything open? We have booked a guarantee balcony cabin. Has anyone already booked this grade and if so have they yet had their cabin number allocated.
violetta58 Posted April 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2010 Hi We went on the 4 day trip last July- no tenders and everything is very easy to get around. At Roterdam you moor right in the city and its a short walk or shuttle bus to all the sights . Cherbourg is also near the town and Zeebruge its best to go on one of the trips to Brugge etc... Hope you have a lovely time!! Ruth

Try doing a search for the ports by using the Search This Forum button top right. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=233 There's a free shuttle bus into the town centre in Cherbourg (although it is walkable). In Zeebrugge there's a free shuttle bus to Blankenberge where you can get the train to Bruges.
Jimsgirl Posted April 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2010 Please go to the Roll call page. There you will find quite a lively group of passengers on this cruise, and answers to some of your questions. Although I am doing this cruise, I do not have plans to go ashore, but quite a few have already planned their trips. See on the Roll call page Lynn
