Ok, first things first....I see that you have only cruised on Carnival in the past. Princess does not have the party ship atmostphere like Carnival. You won't see neon, glitzy themed lounges on Princess. Princess ships tend to be more formal than Carnival. The late night entertainment is much less on Princess...some say non-existant. No shorts is the rule in the dining rooms for dinner on Princess.

I would definitely do your research on this one. Know before you go...and have a great time.:)

Check out Skywalkers Lounge in the late evenings. I've been on ships where it was really hopping and been sometimes where it was dead. So you never know. It's their disco/nightclub venue on the ship. Also a great place to go during the day if you want a nice, quiet place to view the wake of the ship and the lovely horizon.

Check out the aft adult's only pool area. It's at the very back of the ship through the Horizon Court Buffet.

I am hoping I read sarcasm in your post.:o I just wanted you to be aware that Princess is NOT Carnival. Keep reading the Princess boards for info and definitely join your roll call.

Oh, try the chicken salad in the International Cafe. It's fab!:)

Phew!;)

Yes, the Crown Grill has a dutch molten chocolate cake thingy that is to die for! Also, in the main dining room, each evening there should be a soufle on the menu. Princess is known for them. Give that a try.

On the savory side, the fettucini alfredo in the cheese bowl is wonderful and is available every evening. On the first evening, check out the buffet for the seafood...crab legs, shrimp and sometimes lobster claws all split for you. Try it as an appetizer before dinner.;) The pizza is very very good on deck. The onion soup in the Crown Grill is the best I've ever eaten. If you try Sabatini's, the best kept secret is the veal chop. It melts in your mouth. If you are a true foodie, try getting on the Chef's Table. It's a special meal created for 12 people. Each course is paired with a lovely wine or champagne. It is wonderful and very special. I could go on and on.:)

You will so love the CB. We have cruised this ship twice out of NY. I saw your post on the Carnival board and I have to say if your not wowed by your Princess cruise, I will be surprised. There is plenty to do. Our fav bar is Crooners, they have the best martini's and its a great place to hang out and people watch. There are plenty of shows. You wont be disappointed. Nothing like sailing past Lady Liberty. ;)

I think you will like Princess if you want at atmosphere that is a little more elegant and a little less wild. Hard to say because you are young and in October most younger people tend not to sail like in the summer. I hope you'll enjoy it, if not you can do Carnival again next year. Try the "volcanoe" for dessert. Also the Mutts is great at night with some popcorn.:)

Research the ship. Get to know her before you board. Otherwise you maybe lost the whole time you are on her. The second time I was on the CB I knew the ship where as my cabinmate didn't. If she didn't go where I went when I left the cabin she got lost trying to find were I was going to. She even got lost going to her Spa Appt while I was at an Art Auction.

You can't go wrong on the Caribbean P... the party is where you make it.. if you did not have fun on a cruise, then you are the problem.

Little less crazy on Princess, but go to the casino on about the 3rd night, and you will think otherwise. A cruise is what YOU make it............
