cruzndiz Posted April 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Hi All! Thought I had better come up with a better title.....last year I named the thread "My Mariner Blog", not realizing that there is a ship named Mariner of The Seas which is NOT the ship I was taking. My next cruise coming up is on the Regent Seven Seas Mariner and it will take me to Bonaire and Curacao before transiting the Panama Canal and then some ports in South America. Feel free to join me on my journey!

bdaycruisers Posted January 2, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 2, 2011 I happened onto your blog about Regent vs mass market lines. We just got back from a wonderful 2 weeks aboard the Holland American Zaandam (San Diego to Hawaii and back). Many of the negatives you list on the mass market did not occur on the Zaandam. I could start listing the comparisons, but 1/1/11 might be over by the time I was done. Don't compare one cruise line with all cruise lines. No, I haven't been on the luxury line, but I have been on 7 cruises with 4 different lines. This last experience was the best. So the truth is probably somewhere in between. Have a great trip. I probably won't see any reply, because I don't usually look at this thread.
cruzndiz Posted January 3, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted January 3, 2011 I'm glad you enjoyed your HAL cruise. Actually I enjoy EVERY cruise I take (even the Mass Market ones) and I'm sure I'll be back on NCL again at some point because of my casino status but you really cannot ever compare luxury cruising to mass market or even premium. I hope you get a chance to try one of the luxury lines some day :D
