AlabamaFootball Posted April 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Going on the Legend on May 23rd. We booked a Grand Cayman excursion through Carnival Cozumel is cozumelbarhop.com Roatan is with Victor Bodden That leaves the Belize port.....Any suggestions appreciated. My wife wants to go to the beach, is there a beach to go to at this port?
Rare crewsweeper Posted April 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2010 This will probably be moved to the Belize Port of Call boards. No real beaches near Belize City. If Carnival still has a Bannister island Beach Break ( and I think they dropped it) that's your best beach bet. Otherwise, cave-tubing or mayan ruin tours are what a lot of cruisers do in Belize. But anything outsid eof walking or horse buggy tours of Belize City, you probably should book a ship excursion over private vendors if the excursion is over 3-4 hours in length. Frank12 Posted April 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2010 You may want to check the Belize ports of call thread. A lot of folks, myself included, recommend the cave tubing. It is one of my favorite excursions.
mbet Posted April 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2010 We did a Carnival excursion to go snorkeling on the reef. It was amazing! and well worth the price.
kat228 Posted April 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2010 I would definitely recommend booking an excursion in this port. We did the Altun Ha & Belize City Bus Tour. I absolutely loved it (it was unBELIZEable...hah.) I have pictures from it (and of the Legend!) in my review from January, the link is below in my signature. Theresa522 Posted April 12, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 12, 2010 I would say whatever you do make sure to book directly with Carnival. I have been told it is the safest way to go. We booked a catamaran through Carnival. Can't wait. :D
