LAN to Tahiti

We are considering a PG cruise and wonder if anyone has used the Santiago/Easter Island/Papeete route on LAN airlines. Are LAN OK? Did you (can you) stop off at Easter Island given that there only two flights a week to Papeete although there are daily flights to Easter Island. NB We live in the UK and flights to Santiago are not that much longer than to LA.
