Ships R Great Posted April 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Not the biggest question in the world but---Does anyone know how we can obtain stamps to mail from Mexico ahead of time? We do not plan to get off the ship in Mexico but want to mail some postcards from there. If we had the stamps we could ask someone to mail them for us. All you have to do is take them to the Purser's desk on the ship and they will mail them for you. Or if in port the cruise terminal or most places can tell you how to mail them. The Purser's desk is a better option though.

My only experience with mailing from the purser's desk was this: We sailed in Nov/Dec and the postcards did not arrive until February! Maybe just a glitch. I'll try that again since we don't plan to get off ship.
Booyakasha Posted April 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Don't expect anything you mail out of Mexico to get to the U.S. quickly. On a postcard it might take a month. B.
Denny01 Posted April 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Off subject a bit...but if you do the S American cruise through Ushuaia, there is a post office on the pier where you can get special envelopes and stamps from the "Southernmost City" and so on and send them home. Neat. Denny
