Splendor

Going on the Splendor in Oct/November and this is my first cruise. Not sure what to expect or to pack but I am so excited. Any tips for a first timer. I have been reading alot of the posts and find much information helpful. I might try to fly into Long Beach vs LAX....anyone have opinions good or bad on that? We are staying at the Hilton.

We were on the Splendor in Jan. Great ship!! We flew from Kansas City into John Wayne airport. That is where we got the best flight deal. Long Beach airport only has about 4-5 airlines that fly there, so it is limited on availability. There was 6 of us, so we booked with Super Shuttle to Long Beach. It was about $12 a person. We stayed on the Queen Mary. It was fun just because of the nostalgia of it. And it is right next door to the cruise terminal. We got to see the Splendor pull in that morning and all the unloading and loading of the the supplies and passengers. Then we just walked over to the terminal and waited to board. Have a fun, we sure did!!
