FOS Menu questions???

Recommended Posts

First time cruiser. Sailing Freedom of the Seas' Western Caribbean on 5/2/10. Question about dining... We are booked with "My Time Dining" have read a previous post regarding the menu for the Eastern Caribbean. Is it the same for the Western Caribbean route?

Are the MDR menus the same fleet-wide, regardless of ship class?

What nights are the "formal nights" , what do they serve on the menu?

(is that the lobster night I've read about? Do they still do that?)

Trying to figure this out as we think we want to dine in Chops one night...what night should we skip the MDR menu?

For those who have sailed FOS recently, what menu items would you recommend?

Thanks!

On Freedom of the Seas:

western itinerary formal nights are night 2 & 5.

eastern itinerary formal nights are night 2 & 6.

The sought after "Fisherman's Platter" (lobster) is served on the 2nd formal night for each itinerary. We've booked Portofino for night 6 on the western...because the menu that night is dreadful!

We did b2b on FOS, the menu is the same for both weeks. And is the same on every ship for a 7 day cruise. We laugh that we know what we're going to eat before they post it. Lynda

We have opted for My Time Dining, but am thinking of changing because we want our granddaughters to see the Baked Alaska Parade on the second formal night. Has anyone had the opportunity to see it while on My Time Dining? Thank you.
