gluten free on Uniworld

Has anyone had a recent experience with dietary restrictions on Uniworld? I require a gluten (no wheat, rye, barley, malt, soy sauce) and corn free diet. I am planning on taking the Portugal Douro river cruise.

Have you sailed aboard Uniworld before. Any tips you can offer?

We sailed that same cruise 2 yrs, ago,,,just LOVED it,,,very scenic and food great,,,for dietary restriction,,,,DO CALL ahead of time and give request....I m a RN and hubby s a DR.,so very concered about diet,being lo salt and lo sugar......had no problem with dinner,waiter was told in advance that we asked for specific foods,etc...but just ate what was on morning buffet and also lunch,,,,could pick with a lot of choice....so not to worry, they will accomodate your diet, IF you give advance notice...then remind again when you check in.....I envy you,would do it all over in a heartbeat.......:)
