We will be in Progresso in May. We plan to ride the double decker bus first. Will that take us by the market so we know where it is? How far is the market to the beach? The bus stop is 2 or 3 blocks from the Malecon (Main Street) where the beach is. You will go past the market (Mercado) when you go to the beach. You will probably see all of this from the bus. If they don't let you off it will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Shop different places along the waterfront for the best price and quality and don't forget to bargin, bargin, bargin. You should end up paying little no more than half what the starting asking price is. Have fun.
