No Carry-On Fees

Recommended Posts

I no this may sound like it pertains to the airline industry. But since we all fly to get to our cruise ship this is often very important. The following airlines agreed to No Carry-on Fees.

American Airlines

Delta

United Airlines

US Airways

JetBlue

As is often said in legal circles, aloha, an oral agreement isn't worth the paper it's written on. :p ;) :)

You can probably add Southwest to that list. I don't think they will be charging for carry-on bags anytime soon. They don't even charge for the first 2 checked bags.

As mentioned, it wasn't in writing.

Spirit dropped its fares, which supposedly makes it a wash on their fares plus charge vs other airlines. Lower fares also mean less taxes the gov't will collect as it's the price of the ticket that is taxed, not baggage fees.

The other airlines are probably waiting to see what Congress does about taxing the carry on fees.
