Pupsweet Posted April 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2010 Okay, oh wise fellow cruisers. Here's the question: Where is the Carnival Glory on June 5th, 2010? She is doing a 6 night rt Norfolk on May 30th; then she pops up on June 6th out of NYC going to Canada. Is she taking a night off? I am considering booking B2B, but where did the missing night go? I thought it might be fun to do Bahamas and Canada all in one week. (I know, I know, I will call Carnival, but you guys are so smart, I thought I'd see what info I could glean from your joint wisdom!) Thanks in advance. mlzangel78 Posted April 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2010 my guess is that she will be making her way upto NY on the 5th... after she disembarks her passengers.. i dont see any 1 night cruises to no where... interesteing
Tenga1899 Posted April 19, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2010 Since she is changing from 1 US port to another without an international stop, they can't sail with pax. per the Jones Act or whatever....
Rare shof515 Posted April 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2010 the crew needs a day off as well :)
gill_boo Posted April 19, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2010 Like they will give the crew a day off, Im sure they will have them doing some major clean or inventory of some sort.
vacruizer Posted April 19, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2010 She's empty - they run the ship without passengers from Miami up to Charleston, do a cruise or two, then empty up to Norfolk for a sailing, then empty again up to NY.
Pupsweet Posted April 19, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted April 19, 2010 Since she is changing from 1 US port to another without an international stop, they can't sail with pax. per the Jones Act or whatever.... Tenga! Aren't you clever ... of course ... I should have known that from the infamous Ensenada/Hawaii days. It's not what I WANTED to hear though :o ... because that means I can't piggy back the two cruises ... but then again, if the crew gets a day off from crazy passengers like moi, that's a good thing. Wonder what kind of fun and games the crew plays on that day? Probably just work, work, work. They are probably cleaning like crazy people or having Human Resource lectures ...
Tenga1899 Posted April 19, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 19, 2010 You could rent a car and meet the ship again, consecutive cruises, but not the typical B2B format...:)
