Tips !!??

We've cruised RCCL a few times but not recently; we'll be on the Brilliance early next year. I heard the line is automatically adding tips to passengers' accounts "for the Guests' convenience". True? Comments? Other lines have already implimented this policy...personally, I don't like it. DH and I like to decide whom we tip and how much.

Right now adding your tips to the ship board account is only an option. You must go to Guest Relations and sign up for it. Otherwise you just put the amount you like in an envelope as you always did.

We are sailing on the Grandeur in August. I asked travel agent to prepay the tips. Will the wait staff know we are tipping them?

Hi,
I have never done this, but many of the posts on here have said that you will receive a voucher to put in the envelopes so that they realize you tipped them.

They will realize it, but not be happy as they don't get the money immediately as the ship has to process and collect from your charge card first.
