Druke I Posted January 29, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2005 Yes - heavy work being done on that other ship, which is in drydock. Appears Aurora still afloat, although probably tied up to a wharf.

Kiwi Kruzer Posted January 30, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2005 The web cam is of "The Pride of America" The latest I have heard is that Aurora will be there for 10 weeks. As well as current repairs ,they have rescheduled her 5 yearly refit, due in Dec ,and will combine the two operations into one....... from Seatrade Insider Aurora repairs update January 28, 2005 P&O Cruises has brought forward a major refit scheduled in late 2005 for the stricken Aurora. The ship was to have undergone its first five-year refit programme next December. Instead, the work will be completed in the next ten weeks at the Lloyd Werft yard in Bremerhaven where the vessel’s starboard motor is being replaced following last week’s cancellation of the 103-night round the world ‘Grand Voyage’. P&O Cruises’ md David Dingle told Seatrade Insider a new Aurora itinerary was now being planned for December. He paid tribute to suppliers who have made the change in plan possible. ‘We are very fortunate in having both a very loyal group of customers and a very loyal network of suppliers. We are putting the final touches to the work programme now, and it will mean we can bring forward the major refit which was due in December,’ he said. As reported here yesterday, Aurora is due to return to her home port Southampton in early April and will undertake a series of shorter cruises before embraking on her first regular cruise April 24. The new December cruise is likely to be a 10-night round trip from Southampton.
