Smuggling in new orleans

Are they cracking down on smuggling in new orleans like they seem to be doing in florida?

*shrug* on our cruise last year I poured rum into a water bottle and packed it along with other bottles that were actually filled with water. It got through and I have the plan for this October, I'll let you know!

We wouldn't say we smuggled because it wasn't hidden or anything but we brought 4 or 5 bottles of champagne and 3 bottles of wine. They were in our carryon. Oh and we were one of the last few onboard with sailing a hour and a half later so no line and they didn't say anything. They did make us take out our laptops but that was all.
