ketchikan floatplane choice?

We are trying to choose which company to do our Misty Fjords floatplane trip with? Would love some input from those that have done this trip.

We went with Michelle of Island Wings in Sept. of 2006 - awesome experience! Nothing like seeing that spectacular scenery from the air! Would highly recommend Island Wings - but they book fast so better be quick!

We also went with Michelle of Island Wings in June 2008, had an absolutely fantastic experience and would also highly recommend her.

I have flown Misty Fiords numerous times with 4 different vendors, and my top choice is Southeast Aviation. :)

Went with Michelle of Island Wings last year... absolutely perfect. We are going with her again this year to Anan.

Has anyone used Seawind Aviation?

 

We flew with SeaWind a couple of years ago. My husband is retired Air Force and sat up front with Steve. He commented that Steve was an excellent pilot. We landed on a lake and Steve tied up to a little dock and we got to get out for about 20 minutes. It was so quiet. Then I noticed something by the dock - it was a seal come to check us out!

 

I can highly recommend SeaWind Aviation.

michelle with island wings. she is a excellent pilot and will give you a fantastic flight. i will book her again if i decide to do the fjords in the future.

Has anyone used Seawind Aviation?

 

We have flown with Steve of Seawind twice in three years and he is as good a pilot as you will ever encounter. If you talk to his wife Lesley you will know what we past guest of theirs liked about them. When they found out our son (a Marine) was in Iraq two years ago they went to the trouble to send him a care package. Really good people and Steve is a first rate brush pilot recommended highly on this board. No matter which company you choose you will have a great time (weather permitting) at Misty Fjords.
