Shopping for Diamonds

My Lovely Wife Opal and I are booked on a Panama Canal Cruise this Sept/Oct. We will visit--

1. Cabo

2. Acapulco

3. Huatulco

4. Puntarenas

5. Puerto Quetzal

6. Cartegena

 

We want to do some Diamond shopping and would welcome any recommendations.

I wouldn't personally consider this an itinerary for diamond shopping.

 

For this particular itinerary have you considered Emerald's in Cartagena? If you do decide to look at Emerald's I would recommend the Pierino Gallo shopping center which has some very nice jewelry stores which have recieved some good reviews here on cc. I was very happy with with Mr. Emerald's in Pierino Gallo and plan to visit again next Feb.

 

Just be certain that you've done your homework at home before purchasing any expensive jewelry while on a cruise anywhere so you know what to look for and what to avoid and what prices are good prices. Good Luck!:)
