Fred. improves his broadband

after suffering slow broadband and poor satellite connections ,Fred., is at last doing something about it

 

MTN Satellite Communications announced an agreement to outfit Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ entire four-ship fleet with VSAT equipment and services for global, reliable broadband connectivity.

 

Ian Watson, cruise systems manager for Fred. Olsen, said MTN was selected for its ability to provide ‘superior services with faster connectivity, excellent quality of communications and unmatched service support throughout the globe.’

 

Under the agreement, MTN will provide services such as OceanPhone calling; StreamXcel, a bandwidth optimization service; toll-free inbound line dialing for passengers and crew, and credit card processing.

 

Installations on Black Watch have been completed with scheduled roll outs for the rest of the fleet over the next few months.
