Planning walking tour of monte carlo

Hi experts,

Here is what I'm working on for Monte Carlo

Ruby Princess is scheduled to tender and drop off passengers on quai Des Estats Unis - This is on the North East side of Port Hurcule - the same side as the Casino.

We disembark at 11:00 a.m. and want to immediately make our way to the Palais du Monaca to catch the changing of the guard at 11:55 a.m.

Is the best way to do this to take the ferry across Port Hurcule to the west side and then take an elevator up to Monaco-ville?

If so, where do we catch the water taxi and where is the elevator located?

Much appreciated,

Jar

A word about the water taxi's in Monte Carlo. They are very slow and do not run often. We took one from our dock over to the lower area below the Casino. Then we walked a few hundred yards to the elevator that went up to the casino level. Basically they just had one small ferry that kept going back and forth. So if you miss it, it's about a 30 minute wait until it returns. Time is so short you may want to think about other ways to get around.

  • 2 weeks later...

Also on the Ruby so I presume we will dock in the same place.

Where can I get specific walking directions. I am thinking we would first go to to the Palace then the casino then the bus stop to take us to Nice for the rest of the day.

Does this sound like the best use of our time?
