question about Key West sop

Hello there. I was wondering.....Since we are leaving from Miami, does it really take all night to get to Key West? OR, are we already to get off the ship at 7am. I know on the stops when they say that you are there from 7-2 (or someting like that) that you usually can't get off until around 7:30 or 8 am?

 

Thanks in advance! We will be on the Carnival Destiny in January, and want to plan our time wisely since the stop is a quick one!:D

The Destiny usually ports at The Westin pier from 0730-2pm on Fridays and it usually a little after 0800 before disembarkation begins.

 

Only a handful of places will be open before 0900.

 

And no it does not take all night to reach KW from Miami. They usually putter around (sometimes in circles) at a very slow speed when ports are that close together.
