How soon does a cruise have to be paid off?

I am looking at a 7day cruise mid August. However I am also going through underwriting to buy a house so I need the bank account as big as possible for now just to be safe. When does the cruise have to be paid in full?

it is like 60-70 days before. My final payment for my 7/18/10 cruise is in like 2 days.

Final payment is 72 Days prior to sailing for Royal Caribbean.

My cruise is 8/22, my final pay off is 6/12.

 

I know what you mean, we are in the same boat. We made the deposit already.

 

Good luck with the house. I might have to cancel my cruise if they accept our offers and going through escrow.

From Royal Caribbean's site:

 

Q: When is the final payment for my cruise vacation due?

 

A: Final payment of the balance must be received at Royal Caribbean's offices at least 60 days prior to the sailing date for 3, 4, or 5-night cruise vacations and 70 days prior to the sailing date for 7-night or longer cruise vacations. The payment schedule for groups is different from that of individuals. You will usually receive cruise and air documents no later than 28 days before the start of your cruise.

 

For all holiday sailings, (Christmas and New Year's), payment is due 90 days prior to sailing.

Thanks for the help! I will probably wait until after closing then and pray prices stay the same or go down. School starts the 23rd for us - I wish it was later since the 22nd is so much cheaper. I am assuming they are going cheaper since FL schools are starting back.
