2nutz4travel Posted May 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2010 We are doing a TA in November (only 6 months left!!!), our first cruise with RCI. The RCI website is currently not showing shore excursions for some of the ports. How much in advance are these usually available? Also - the wine & water packages - any advantage in booking those in advance or is it better to wait until we're on the ship? I get the impression that the water package has to be booked in advance??? Will we be able to make reservations for My Time Dining and the Specialty restaurants ahead of time? Any idea when that is typically made available? Thanks!
djmutters Posted May 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2010 Hi cruiser1216, I can only speak for myself but they have always come available 6-8 weeks before we sail and the same with the drink/wine packages. We never book water because the water on the ship is actually very good quailty however we always book a wine package online 6-8 weeks before the cruise, you do have to pay at the time of booking which I prefer however if you decide to wait you will have no problems booking these on the day you set sail:) Nigel We are doing a TA in November (only 6 months left!!!), our first cruise with RCI. 2nutz4travel Posted May 9, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted May 9, 2010 Thanks Nigel, If we book the wine package & use it up, can we purchase another during the cruise or is it only the day of embarkation that you can do that? (we're going for 2 weeks after all!) Kathy
allboyz Posted May 10, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2010 We are also sailing in November on the Mariner and have had our excursions booked for a couple of months. The wine package is also available, but we have not purchased it yet.
