Did you happen to notice if the Ritz-Carlton was nearby?

Thank you, Seadeck2

Well, Key Biscayne is an island plunked in Biscayne Bay. It's a bay--an estuarine body of water. The Marriott is in downtown Miami on the western shore of the bay, the City of Miami Beach makes up the eastern shore of the bay and Key Biscayne is out in the bay but much closer to the western shore. Key Biscayne is a good deal further from the Port of Miami than is the Marriott.
