Hey Patrick & Jim: Myself and a buddy (not a couple also) are also traveling on the Glory 6/6/2010. Looking forward to meeting other gay/lesbian cruisers. We've been on several Carnival cruises. Hopefully this ship will have a good Friends of Dorothy meeting on the first night. We will be arriving in NYC on the 4th. Would be interested in meeting ahead of the cruise anybody who may be from NYC or staying in town before the ship sails. Looking forward to a great cruise!!! Doug (46) and Dean (33).

Hey Wiskt; glad to hear you're also going. I'm new to this site so I'm not sure if there is anway to e-mail each other or just leave notes here. Be nice to meet ahead of time or exchange contact info. Let me know. Doug

I'm taking my dad on this cruise for a quick vacation to get him away from his house.

Just got my stateroom assigned. Took a chance at a guarantee room and will be on the Riviera deck, which is fine with us. I'll be happy as long as I am away from the office. He'll be happy as long as there is a beer in his hand and no grass to mow. LOL

I normally don't do the FOD meetings since they're usually scheduled while I am planning something else.

TVtech you'll enjoy the cruise.

It's my 7th Carnival (on my way to Platinum :D) This is my 2nd time to this port. I was there in 06 on the Victory and also to Halifax. St John is was a very laid back (somewhat industrial) area the last time I was there, but heard it was up for a port renovation. Just walked around town, but might be planning on the ST MARTIN tour this time to check out the sea caves. I want to see the tide schedule first.

Doug: you can reach me at cadet4@comcast.net

Thanks Wiskt; I sent you an e-mail from doug32011@yahoo.com

Getting excited about this trip. I usually try and attend the FOD's if possible; always nice to make new friends. Also looking forward to meeting Patrick and Jim. This is my 6th Carnival cruise and I'm also trying to get to platinun status. Am signed up for a walking tour of NYC, and hopefully try and see a broadway show. We are on the Empress deck in the back of the ship; I think just two flights up to the 24 hour pizza buffet. Love to hear from other travelers on this ship! Doug

I am looking forward to meeting all of you. Jimmy and I will arrive in NYC around 11am ... driving straight to the port. No rush to go home on Thursday. Not sure if we will wander into the city. We have a room on the MAIN deck. I think that is level 2. We are right by the elevators. We will most likely find the FOD meeting the first night, and use that for a starting point to meet people ... if we haven't discovered each other before that. At some point I will be found in the casino also. My real email is TvTech@aol.com ... Patrick
