CCL- Book ahead of time or on ship for Scuba in Cozumel?

We will be on Carnival Freedom in June and want to book Scuba in Cozumel through the ship . Do any of you know if it generally sells out or would we be safe to just book it at the excursion desk when we get on the ship?

If you are certain that you want to go with the ship's dive excursion, then what reason is there to not book ahead? You can cancel when you get on the ship if you want, right?

We booked in advance with CCL our friends wanted to wait till they got on the ship. We had no problems wonderful dive they got to book another excursion because ours was sold out.

I am a BIG believer in always booking ahead. You don't want to be told that your excursion is sold out. Who wants sloppy seconds, lol.

Hi there. Just got back from a trip on the Carnival Valor last week. We had 14 to 18 divers on the dive excursions in each of the four ports! It is a great dive cruise as all the ports are famous for diving. The excursion desk said it was a good thing I had booked online as they expected to sell out. I recommend buying now. I believe you can cancel up to 24 hours ahead. The dives in Cozumel were great. Water was about 85 degrees, 75 foot+ vis. Have fun
