Freedom-Book ahead of time or on ship for Scuba in Cozumel?

We will be on Carnival Freedom in June and want to book Scuba in Cozumel through the ship . Do any of you know if it generally sells out or would we be safe to just book it at the excursion desk when we get on the ship?

p.s. I posted on the Scuba/Snorkeling board too. Wasn't sure which one would be better.
