Bon Voyage no sell Liquor complaint email add

I can confirm that there was miscommunication in this instance. There was no cessation of liquor sales through the Bon Voyage Department.

 

More of a rhetorical question but what could have been miscommunicated? I mean, that's quite the "little" misunderstanding. :)

Indeed. Please, someone explain how this whole bruhaha came about...from the begining.......As in, what started it all?

 

 

A few of our members posted that they had attempted to order hard liquor through the Bon Voyage Department as we have been able to do in the past. They were told that there was a policy change yesterday morning that only beer, wine and champagne were available to order... no liquor.

This, in turn, generated a great deal of response and queries. The latest from Carnival is an apology for a miscommunication. There is no change in the policy.

Great news! Does anyone know how early one can order from the BV department prior to your cruise? We'd like to order as soon as we are allowed just in case things change again.

Everyone who posted on CC about their experience with BV yesterday got exactly the same answer from BV when they called.

 

This means that every single person taking BV orders received and was complying with this "miscommunication"....

 

Think about your work place. Could your company disseminate information like that to one of your call centers or technical support groups with that much effectiveness?

 

From what I have seen here, they have not been able to "undo" it with as much effectiveness.

 

Makes a person wonder....

Great news! Does anyone know how early one can order from the BV department prior to your cruise? We'd like to order as soon as we are allowed just in case things change again.

 

I was thinking exactly the same thing ! Order now in case they do "miscommunicate" again or raise their prices. How early can you order ? We only sail in December...

Glad I popped into the Carnival board for a look today. Sent email to Carnival asking if they lost their minds. Our cruise this year came down to Miracle and NCL Jewel ----- glad I chose the Jewel. While quite high in price, at least I can order a bottle from them!!
