In Saint John, the fun thing to do would be the Jet Boat Thrill Ride through the Reversing Falls Rapids. http://www.jetboatrides.com/thrill.html

In Nova Scotia take the Harbour Hopper which you will find on the waterfront. It is a land/sea vehicle (landing vehicle from Vietnam war era) which gives a city tour both on water and land. http://www.mtcw.ca/harbourhopper/

 

Also visit Citadel Hill and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic (Titanic artifacts).
