Prohibited or not? Curling irons.

My friends just sailed on the Dream and were called to the naughty room where they saw people being divested of their curling irons. I thought they were allowed.

They are allowed as long as they are in good working order. Frayed wires etc are not allowed.

They are allowed.They are supposed to take only ones in unsafe condition.I plan on taking "the list" that states that.

Those looks like good condition ones to me, seriously this is getting insane. Either they are allowed or not. If they take mine I may have my first hissy LOL

 

I would never take a prohibited item on a ship but if it's not prohibited I expect it to be left alone. Mine will be in my carry on.

When did your friend sail? This was resolved about 10 days ago or so.

It's hard to believe that ALL of those curling irons had frayed cords.

One thing I noticed is it doesn't look like any of those have the safety stands, maybe that is why they were taken?

Okay, can they seriously take everyone's curling iron. Can you imagine the ugly women walking around on that boat. I for one use a Chi straighening iron and if they attempt to take mine I will not cruise again. It is in perfect working order and I can't fix my hair without it. I believe in taking it easy on vacation, but not being able to fix my hair is going to far.

My friends were on the dream May 1/2010 sailing.
