Are short cruises worth it?

For me, they are not, but that is because it would cost more to fly to the port than the cost of the entire cruise. I could never justify paying that much for airfare for a 3-4 night cruise. 7 Nights or longer is my preference. However, if I lived near a port city, I would probably cruise 3-4 times a year.

If you have to fly in, can you book a back-2-back cruise? We did that last year, on a ship that alternated itineraries. Very nice.

 

I would love to be able to easily drive to a cruise port, but we seldom get cruise lines to dock in Colorado......;)
