Another question about Cannes to Eze

Does anyone know how to get from the cruise port for Cannes to the train station? Also, the easiest route to Eze? I've found the info below but am confused about train/bus numbers and the easiest way to get there!

Here is what I've found so far:

"You have two options using train and bus. Option one would be to get off the train at Nice, walk through town to the Gare Routiere (the bus station) and catch the bus which goes directly from Nice to Eze (Village).

The 2nd option is to stay on the train (you would take the train from Cannes that goes towards Monte Carlo) until you pass Nice and than get off at the Eze/Bord sur Mer train station (about 55 minutes). This is a tiny station that is just below the hilltop village of Eze. When you walk out of this station (more like a whistle stop) there is a bus stop right in front and there is a posted schedule of the local bus that goes from the station up to Eze (Village). If the bus is not coming for a long time your other option would than be to cross the road to the cafe and ask them to help you call a taxi."

I haven't been to Cannes, but have taken the bus/train between Villefranche, Eze and Monte Carlo.

Here's a map of Cannes that shows the location of the train station (just above #14): http://www.frommers.com/images/destinations/maps/jpg-2006/148_cannesaccommodations.jpg

People have mentioned here that it's approximately a 20 minute walk from the port to the station.

Regarding the two options ... easiest is probably staying on the train to Gare SNCF Eze, and then take bus #83 up to Eze Village. You'll find the schedule on this link http://www.webstore.fr/eze/emotions/deplacement/ang/bus.htm

... for bus times from the Eze train station to the village, see "Depart Eze Bord de Mer". Note that the bus service isn't that frequent.

If you decide to go to Eze Village via Nice, you can catch the bus to Eze Village at Gare Routiere in Nice(#112 or #82).

Schedules are also in the link above, or, you can see more detailed info on:

http://www.lignedazur.com/horaires_ligne/?rub_code=6&lign_id=1093&part_id=%PARTNER%&thm_id=0

(This is the info for #112. To see other routes, just enter the route number in the space on the right side of the page, beside "Line", below "Timetables")

p.s. If you can pick up a copy of Rick Steves guidebook, Provence and the French Riviera, it has good info on getting around on public transportation in this area. You might be able to find a copy at your local library. http://www.amazon.com/Rick-Steves-Provence-French-Riviera/dp/1598802887/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274877311&sr=8-1
