Confused on when the extra 5% discount is applied on Portunus cruises

I am tooking at a portunus cruise next year and when I try to book online it includes only an online discount of 5% but no additional 5% for being a portunus member.

 

If I book the same cruise and don't say I am a past guest ( ie. first time cruise ) it still gives me the same price for the cruise. Therefore, whether I select that I am a past guest or not, the online price is the same.

 

How do you get the additional 5% off the portunus cruise for being a portunus member and get the 5% online discount as well.

 

I'm confused - hope I have not confused you!!! Help?

First of all NEVER book on-line! We have booked our portunus cruise for next year with our local high st travel agent. They gave us 10% off and P&O gave us double-early bird saving, double OBC plus another 5% off for it being a portunus cruise. So I think we got a good deal plus you are dealing with "people" so can get any questions answered straight away, also not all cabins are listed on-line. We requested the one we wanted and got it. I would try one of the specialist cruising agents. If you look on the P&O site you will find a list of the recommended cruising clubs. You will get a much better deal than a high street agent.

Thanks for the info. I shall ring a few travel agents and cruise clubs!!

 

I did ring P+O regarding the additional 5% for being a past guest on a portunus cruise and they informed me that the online system needed a code which should be automatically inserted when you input your portunus number. There is a fault on the online system so they are reporting it to their IT section.
