Eleazar Posted February 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2005 We plan on doing two of the three of these in Skagway. The Glacier dog sledding is 2 hours and the Glacier Point Wilderness Safari is 5.5 hours are our first choices. Does anyone know of any reason these two should not work? Also, I am a little concerned that the Wilderness Safari may be a bit tame since it uses 31 foot canoes rather than kayaks to approach the glacier (crammed together with a dozen people in a big canoe doesn't sound enticing). We will be kayaking in Ketchikan and elsewhere so horseback riding in with Yukon Horseback tours would be an alternative to the Wilderness Safari. If we do not ride in Skagway, we are looking at doing so down in Kenai with Alaska Horsemen Trail Adventures. It will be my wife and I (in our 40s) and our 2 kids (15-1/2 and 12-1/2). Comments and suggestions are most appreciated.:)
