They gave out a free Scrapbooks when you bought 2 pictures from the Gallery the first night on the SPIRIT. Now a hard cover but a kind of cool plastic cover with pockets for pictures. It also came with paper and stickers. Try to scan later, late for work!

We used to do that, but now when we get home we go online and we make our own photo book that gets binded with our custom making pages!

Well worth the money, our kids look at it everyday!

Fun memory to leave on the coffee table!

About how much does that cost ya? I've kind of slowed down with my scrapbooking and am so backed up that I don't have interest to do ANYTHING. I'd love to try out an online photobook.

Debra - really liked the pocket you made for the capers for one of your pages. i always get inspired when i see other scrapbooks-thanks for sharing...

Why, thank you! It *is* fun to get ideas from other people. Heck, I got the pocket idea from an old scrapbooking show. They are fun to do to hold "stuff".

I've done shadow boxes and such which I also "scraplifted" from that show, too. Drat it's not on the air anymore. :(

Snapfish does a really nice job on bound photo books, and I think they average around $30ish. Here's a link for you.

I tried my first online photobook. PanRaven is selling them on a few of the cruise lines now.

I bought mine on Princess for about $50...it was 100 pages plus free shipping. I loved it. They loaded all our portraits that we bought on board, and there was 8 pages of stock material customized for our trip, if we wanted to use it to fill-in for shots we didn't get.

Click on the link in my signature if you'd like to see the book.

I liked it because I never know what to do with my photos when I get home.

The books layout made me look like a better photographer then I real am. :D

You don't have to watch the whole thing, but it gives you a snippet of one of the albums out there. :)

Your scrapbook is GREAT! Love it!

Thank you for sharing that! I still have my pictures and kits from both the Conquest Caribbean and the Dream in the Med and I haven't put either together.

I SIMPLY MUST get those done before I go on the Magic and have 3 to complete.. Yikes!

like a lot of y'all, I am behind with my photobooks/scrapbooks from cruises...I had done a small photobook for my first cruise and loved how it turned out...I decided to do a bigger "true" scrapbook and gathered all the stuff to do it last year, but never got it off the ground :o I am still gonna complete it...probably just in time to go on my next cruise in December :)

I loved all the pics y'all posted...and Missy, what a nice romantic story

Just got off the Splendor, and sorry to say I didn't even look at the albums. The kits were $11.99 each. I bought 2 of them, and the guy was like "well, since you bought those, I'll throw in the casino kit for free". Plus, got pictures of the ship, a map of our itinerary thrown in there too.

Be there on time though. Missed it the first day. This guy spread out the stuff on the top of the piano and was all packed up within 30 minutes.

Hi All,

Love your scrapbooks and photo books.

I've been trying to scrap, have loads of supplies, but haven't had time to get to it, yet. You're great inspiration. And thanks for the tips on purchasing onboard.

I've had a couple of photo books made. Snapfish came out the best. The other two were from CVS and Walgreen's.

I usually do mine one page at a time. Sometimes I work on a page for snippets at a time. Try to just carve out some time or use your "few minutes" to get started. You don't have to do a whole book at a sitting... just plug away at it and you'll get finished. RARELY have I ever done more than one page at a time--because I simply don't have the time. So I use what I have.

Give it a try--you never know! :D

  • 3 months later...

I have two of the clear plastic pocket cover scrapbooks and love them. They are very unique and I think they were only about $12. :p Plus they are three-ring albums so they are so easy to change up the pages when you need to, instead of the post-bound albums.

For my last cruise I took a completely different approach and made all my pages ahead of time! I have never done that before but it ended up being so much fun after I got home to just put the pics in the album. And since I had already done quite a few cruise scrapbooks, I already knew what kinds of pics I would take and how I would want to organize them.

But, with all that said, I am still behind on my cruise scrapbooking! :D
