Scruffy666 Posted June 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2010 We really enjoyed the Chef's Table on Princess and wonder if HAL do this or something similar. If so how does one book it? Whilst in wonderment mode (truly looking forward to Alaska) are there any beer deals? I've seen mention of wine/soda/coffee cards but the only thing I've found on beer is that you can have 6 packs delivered to your room. DW & I like to share the occasional bucket. (ful of bottles). Oh and do HAL deliver cooked breakfasts to your stateroom? Many thanks for any kind responses.
kakalina Posted June 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2010 HAL does not offer a "Chef's table". HAL does offer free room service 24 hrs per day. They do offer buckets of beer for a better price than the single bottles. Have a wonderful cruise I am sure you will enjoy all that HAL ships have to offer. Krazy Kruizers Posted June 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2010 HAL has the Chef's Tbale and/or Sommenlier Dinner on some ships/cruises. If your ship has it you can book it through the Pinnacle Grill -- this is also where you can find out if there will be one on your cruise. Also you can ask the price. The Sommenlier dinner is usually around $79 per person and the Chef's Table has been $129 per person.

Old As Dirt Mom Posted June 7, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 7, 2010 On our recent 14-day Alaska cruise on the Amsterdam, at least one "Sommelier Dinner" was offered. We didn't partake, but I took a menu just to drool over: Amuse Bouche of Tuna Tartar Moet & Chandon Brut, Champagne, France Lobster and Tiger Prawn Tulip Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand Mustard Soup (hmmmm, I'm not sure about that one) Lanzerac Chardonnay, Stellenbosch, South Africa Champagne Lemon Granite Sterling Silver Filet Mignon Rossini Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake Romanoff Marque Shiraz, Australia Menage A Fromage Smith Woodhouse, Port Cost was $75 per person, at the Pinnacle Grill restaurant at 6:30 pm, held the evening after we left Kodiak. Dial 98 to reserve your night of bliss!
