Question About Cabin With Upper Berth

Hi,

 

We have a hump cabin booked on Equinox for next January. The deck layout indicates that there is an upper berth in the room. We won't be using it because it's just the two of us. Can anyone tell me if the extra bed takes up room in the cabin or does it just disappear into the wall? My husband is concerned that it will take away precious space, and I would like to find out when there's time to try to get another hump cabin in its place.

Based on photos I have seen, the "Upper Berth" comes down from the ceiling and when not in use is flush with the ceiling and therefore will not take away any cabin space.

We have just arrived home from the Equinox and we had the room you described.

It's absolutely fine - looks just like all the other rooms you wouldn't even know there was a bed in the ceiling! :)

Thanks all. You've set my mind at ease. We love the hump cabins because of the larger balcony and the great location. Now I can relax and wait (impatiently) for the cruise.
