Does anyone know the name of a seafood cafe on Pier 39? I ate there in 1998 and was wondering if it is still open. I remember sitting at a window table and watching sea lions barking their heads off while eating scallop for the first time. Ever since, I wanted to eat there again, but I could never remember the name of the place. Next year I am going to Pier 39 again, so I have another chance to eat there if it is still open.

Strangely enough, it's called "The Sea Lion Cafe" - level 2. It looks out on the Harbor, but I have heard that the sea lions have left the Bay and headed up the coast.

You might also try Neptune's Palace - a bit more polished service and claims to be one of San Francisco's ten top seafood restaurants.

That is the perfect name for it, actually.

I asked about those sea lions on the Princess board and someone gave me a webcam. There are not as many as before, but the poster said they returned from Oregon. :)

Is Neptune's Palace in a good price range ($10-$20)?
