Phyljim Posted June 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2010 Received an email from Princess about the change. Think we will stay with it. Have been to Bangkok, but never Singapore. Been to Tiawan, but also been to So Korea. Need to do a good comparison of port changes. Still should be a great trip.

NFLinHogtown Posted June 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 12, 2010 We are booked on the Diamond Princess, Nov.19th cruise. We, too, received an e-mail advising of the itinerary change. Given the unrest in Bangkok, we can understand Princess's rationale for changing the disembarkation port to Singapore. After all, if things are still hot in Bangkok, it is easier for Princess to bypass Bangkok if it is just a "port of call". What really has us scratching our heads is the significant change to the rest of the itinerary. Unless, there is some benefit to Princess Cruises that we don't see, it seems totally unnecessary. Like others in this thread, we are disappointed not to be able to visit Taiwan. Indeed, the rather unique itinerary is what made this particular cruise attractive to us. Can anyone out there explain Princess's thinking?
