New London

Due to a recent Princess itinerary change, we will be visited New London this fall instead of Newport. Looking for information regarding things to do and see. The Princess shore excursions listed do not have any descriptions as yet. I searched this topic and found a number of posts but most are older. We will be in town Sept 18th from 07:00am to 04:00pm. Thank you in advance for any help.

There is not alot to do around here (I'm in the navy, I live in the area for the last 8 years). Most people take a bus up to Foxwoods (largest casino complex in the US). Others go to Mystic Seaport, or do tours of the Two local Forts. There is also a trip to the USS Nautalis (a submarine/museum). I honestly don't know why ships even think about stopping here aside from the channel being big enough for them to!

I would definitely recommend Mystic. The seaport is really cool and you could easily spend a whole day there. http://www.mysticseaport.org/

There's also the aquarium and some Mystic Pizza (from the movie)
