Hotels near Port of Miami

Was wondering if anyone has stayed at.....Biscayne Bay Marriott / Hilton Miami Downtown / Holiday Inn - Port of Miami Downtown? Would you recommend either of these hotels - why/why not/or would you recommend something else? Looking for hotels near Bayside Marketplace for a pre-cruise dinner/entertainment night. Cruising on 04/02/11 - so would need overnight hotel for 04/01. Thanks....

All three, along with the Hyatt and a couple of others are often suggested on these boards for pre-cruise stays; Marriott has been a recent win for several via priceline, often for under $100/night. :D Besides the Biscayne Bay Marriott you might look at the Doubltree almost next door.

Holiday Inn is the closest to Bayside, while you may need a cab (especially at night) from the others. All will charge for parking ($25+ per day:eek:) if you drive to Miami, and are about a $25 cab ride from MIA; another $10-12 will get you to POM in the morning.

There are many other dining options in Miami, but if your focus is Bayside you can't go wrong with any of these. Good luck!:)

Of course too, look at the Intercontinental. Very close, within a couple blocks walk thru the park to Bayside Mall and nice business hotel right on the water. On your date, you might find it on many of the discounted sites.

Holiday Inn Port of Miami most often comes in on the discount sites with the lowest pricing.
