San Diego residents, please help

What I need to know is I will be on a sailing that has a stop in San Diego for the day. My nephew lives there and we are supposed to meet him. Due to security where can he meet us. Can he go out on the pier, or meet in the terminal or outside the terminal. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Marilyn,
You are not allowed in the terminal area without a ticket but there are many places close by where it would be easy to arrange a meeting place.
Just to the south of the terminal are the ticket booths for the harbor excursions. Just to the north of the terminal is a restaurant called Anthonys. It has benches outside so it would make a good meeting place. Both areas are very close to the terminal.

What Gayle has said should work fine. Also, directly across the street is a Holiday Inn that would be a good place too.
