Besides beaches and water-related activites, what recommendations do you have for sightseeing in Grenada? Are there any good, reputable local tour companies / guides that you recommend? Is it safe and easy to explore on your own?

We booked with Mandoo 2 years ago (Summit) and it was one of our favorite excursions.

The owner, Mandoo, was our guide and gave us the normal touristee talk and locations but also added the history and very interesting political challenges the island faced in the past. And today.

 

He is an elegant man and an articulate voice for the future of the island.

 

He's not young so get him while you can!
